About (yes READ IT!)

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the island that:
is not an actual island
had 4 names and had many conquerors
it’s the only place that famous “Egklouvi lentils” are produced!

Welcome to Lefkada history!
A 100% private project that tries to promote the history of the island.
I would like you to know that i am not an expert in history or in any similar sector.
Please excuse my english if you find something incorrect.
Information and facts are taken from folklore Lefkadian books, local sites – guides, museums, people next door…

And what if you liked this project?
Stay tuned by following Lefkadahistory.gr on instagram.

There we will time travel back and forth often through posts that will contain: stories, historical facts, myths, rumors, information, biographies, tips, photos etc. that you may have never heard, seen or think…

I would like to thank LefkasDNA (Cultural and Environmental Association of Nydri) for the spark of knowledge and inspiration that gave to me!

A big thank you to my friends Kostas and Vagia for their help!
